A certain period in my life, I was razz, stubborn and… Let me spare you the details.

Due to the kind of life I lived, seeking protection was a necessity or you could be dropped dead when you least expected.

One day, my guys and I decided to visit one Baba far away in Kogi state who was supposed to do odeshi for us.

It’d mean immortality as this Baba’s odeshi was said to withstand weapons ranging from knives to bullets from a Kalashnikov.

We set out on that journey and spent three days in the Baba’s shrine, performing the ritual.

On the last day, Baba told us all had been set and that nothing on earth can penetrate our body any longer.

We were lost in the euphoria of being immortals when Baba came out from nowhere holding two Ak-47s in his hands and pointed them at us, aiming to fire.

“Arghhhh! Baba, wetin happen?!” We screamed!

“I wan test my work ni ooo!” He replied.

I was the first to pick race.
