In fish feed formulation, the choice of feedstuff to be used for compoundment is very important.

We have two types of feedstuff:
1 conventional feedstuff
2 unconditional feedstuff.
Conventional feedstuff are feedstuff materials that their uses are widely acceptable and standard eg fishmeal. While unconventional feedstuff are feedstuff materials that their uses are acceptable but not a standard for feed formulation eg blood meal.

Feedstuff materials are generally divided into the following

1 Energy source
2 Protein source
