Outbreak of Deadly Lassa Fever!

Two youth corps members, one pharmacist and 3 staff of the 44 Nigeria Army Reference Hospital Kaduna have passed away at the Accident & Emergency unit of the hospital today, 21st February 2024 following clinical presentation consistent with Viral Hemorrhagic Fever likely Lassa Fever.

Medical practitioners, nurses, laboratory scientists, pharmacists and all hospital staff are hereby advised to be vigilant and to observe universal basic precautions when attending to all patients in the hospital, at home, in school or anywhere else.
