Dubem and I first met at the university in 2011. I was still a fresh st school on a particular day to meet him in our room. He came to visit my host’s roommate, who was his then crush and coursemate. We exchanged pleasantries and contacts and automatically became really close friends. We had a powerful attraction and connection, which we never explored. We maintained a close and cordial friendship for years, being each other’s shoulders to lean on when we got hurt by our respective partners. This continued till we left school and lost contact. We reconnected in 2020 on Facebook and as we caught up, It turned out that he was fresh out of a failed relationshipudent staying with a friend. I came home from which had him deeply heartbroken and I offered my shoulder for his broken heart to lean on.
