HOW IT STARTED.. EPISODE 2
…The night was horrible..I was so frightened that I could hear my hurt beating like there is someone running outside the houses..I pulled my blanket to cover my head but I couldn’t sleep.
I gathered the courage to face the situation imagining that it was dream.
I woke up and lean on the floor where I was sleeping.remember those days there were no beds,no mattresses.if you are lucky enough,u sleep on a cow’s skin and one blanket where almost everyone in the village was used to sleeping inside a empty sack.
I opened my eyes again and I could now see everything like it was..the baby girl and the lamb on a table which was not there in reality..
In my mind,I thought the girl who has spread her hands like she want to fly was Mary who I normally hear my Catholic maternal grandmother mentioning during her prayers..I stared at (Mary),feeling excited and relieved but all over sudden I heard a sound like thunder that fills the air and in between there was a voice from the opposite direction where my Mary was..someone was talking,I didn’t understand the language but it the tone was that of Anger..I was frightened once again and when I was about to shout,,,I felt like there was a Earthquake and Mary moved to where I was and touched my eyes.i felt warmth all over my body and I couldn’t see her again..all I could hear was footsteps leaving the house and it was dark again..
I was still wondering with many questions than answers when the woman who I found in the fireplace woke up and started screaming..
“I am burning..the house is burning..what is happening,”.I pretended I was sleeping until everyone else woke up..
Someone rushed to lit a lamb to see what was happening..the woman was shouting endlessly.she was half naked and laying on the floor like she had ran mad..”give me some water I am burning”,the woman said.
