At some point, we’ve all pondered the question of ‘what does it feel like to die?’ Some of us have also taken our curiosity further, wondering if it’s possible for a person to be aware that they’ve died. Is it true what the storybooks say? Do we see the stereotypical bright light as our soul leaves our body? Can we hear doctors leaning over our lifeless corpse pronouncing our own death? Or do we simply fade away, unbeknownst to the fact that we’ve just slipped away from the mortal realm into the unknown?
