When does a man become old? When he’s between 40-60, 61-80 or 81 & above?

When he has grand & great grand children or when he has retired from active working life or when he’s too weak to perform his matrimonial functions?

When I was growing up, I lived with my grand parents & they were past 90 before they died.

My grand father was still going to the market & he went until a few days (1-2 days) before he died at 96 in 1979.

His elder brother was 136 before he died in 1981.

In recent times, I have heard some young men of 40-50 call themselves old.

    Some are even sexually dead.

My grandfather still had children at 75 & his elder brother at about 80.

I was going through the profile of the late Ohiniyi of Ebiraland & he had more than 150 children just like most of his brother traditional rulers and the rich.

We have carried this question of one man-one wife theory to the extreme & till date nobody can show or tell me anywhere in the scriptures or traditional institutions where God commanded mankind to have one wife or 3children.

All the Prophets from Adam to Muhammad had multiple wives.

Because of the limitations we have placed on ourselves, we do a lot of the things we are not supposed to do- having inter course with them during their monthly course, sleeping with women we are not legally married to and sometimes giving birth outside wedlock and denying paternity because the society will look down on us.

We no longer fear what God has instructed not to do, but we fear what “MEN” ask us not to do.

The same us keep complaining that things have changed and no longer go the way they are supposed to.

    Has the world really changed?

Does the sun rise from the North now and set in the South?

Does a woman now carry a pregnancy for 3months?

Nothing has really changed but we as human beings and unless we go back to the thing God ask us to do & abstain from the things he has asked us not to do, we shall continue to see things the way we are seeing them- God forbid.
