DO NOT HELP A RELATIVE PRIVATELY/SILENTLY, DO IT PUBLICLY.

I saw this video on TT where a man said we shouldn’t help any relative in silent, let people know, let another relative know… Because e get why…

Let me tell you two real life scenarios

1. Some relatives (call them XYZ )I was busy helping quietly, taking responsibility that wasn’t mine… One day I got a DM from another relative cussing me badly that I couldn’t even get upset, I was more shocked than upset.

Telling me how oh I’ve disconnected from everyone and I don’t want to help anyone, even when XYZ relatives needed my help, that I just ignored. I’m heartless blablabla and that I should be ashamed that it is ABC (XYZ child) who is far younger than me, that took responsibility.

Huh??

What are you saying? Come! This person that was talking to me and cussing me sef, shock me pass because the person is a very distant relative I have no form of connection with… So how is this person even in my business?

I started noticing some resentment from XYZ’s children, what is going on abeg… I did some silent digging, then I discovered that all the while i was busy footing bills through their parents, the parents never told anyone, not even the kids.

Lol.

So they told every other relatives and everyone who asked about me, that I abandoned them. That it is ABC their child who is far younger than me, that is struggling to support them.

Aaaah!!!

2. A friend of mine in 2022 was accused of sponsoring her step sister’s wayward lifestyle and an ab0tion that almost cost her life.

My friend was shocked beyond words at such accusations, but she couldn’t defend herself much because there was bank statement evidence that correlated with the dates of the unfolding events.

She tried explaining that the girl was calling and telling her she needed money for school, food, clothes or school related stuff… So who did you tell or try to confirm if she was telling the truth? No one🤦

Omoh. That thing almost cost her her sanity.

So yeah, I agree… Do not help any relative in silent ooh…you never can tell what is happening behind you
