A man was barely surviving with his wife and son. He sold off his land and gathered money to travel outside. Here is where the problem started. He told his wife to go and put up with his parents, that she should be his eyes there as the only son because his sister are all married. She told him that she won’t stay with his parents. That his sister should take care of them. That he should give her money, from the money he has left after buying his ticket, for her to renew their rent, that she can’t leave the city and go back to the east. That she wants to stay in the city and look for a job. She wasn’t working back then. He begged her to reconsider, and she refused. So he gave her 1.5 million naira to use and left. Since he got there, he hasn’t communicated with her. She tried her best, to reach out to both her parent inlaws. They did their best to get their son to speak to his wife but it didn’t work. This is the 3rd year he left, and the first call she received from him was, to ask her people to return the bride price for him. He said he ended his marriage the minute he gave her that money .What do you have to say on this? He promised to take care of his son but didn’t want the marriage anymore.
